Peter Herzog - Travel Photographer

Meet the Photographer:
Peter Herzog

Born in Coburg, Germany, in 1943, Peter Herzog moved to the U.S. in 1952 and later served in Vietnam with the 10th Cavalry. After returning home, he found solace in Montana, where he built a life with his wife, Carole. Over 50 years of marriage, they’ve raised two children and welcomed three grandsons.

Photography became Peter’s passion and therapy—capturing the raw beauty of nature and life’s fleeting moments. Through his lens, he tells honest stories, revealing both the world’s imperfections and its breathtaking wonders.

“Talk is cheap; it costs money to buy Whiskey.”

Reflections of the West

A Word from Peter:

"Eighteen years ago, I received a black and white photograph of my nephew. That image stirred something deep within me. It was as if the photograph spoke, calling me into the world of photography, where light, shadow, and time all weave together. I became captivated by the idea of shooting images through glass - fascinated by how reflections could hold layers of meaning, telling multiple stories in a single frame."
